Blogger's Biography

Mark Kevin Atendido Vidar y Perida Radan was born on March 03, 1993 at the Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center, Cabanatuan City. He was raised in a simple yet well-known Atendido Clan (came from San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija) in Barangay Cruz Roja, City of Cabanatuan in the province of Nueva Ecija.

His mother is Amalia P. Atendido, 43 originally residing in Cabanatuan City. His mother is an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and currently a businesswoman after the head of their family went abroad.

His father, Ardito R. Vidar, 48 grew up in the municipality of Oas in the Province of Albay. His father took up a one year automotive course and pushed through automotive works in Manila and later worked abroad where he knew Kevin's mother via pen pal. He now works abroad as OFW in Saudi Arabia.

The young Kevin Vidar finished his Elementary Education at Cruz Roja Elementary School, a public elementary school in Cabanatuan where he graduated Salutatorian and awarded as the Outstanding Leader Award. During his elementary life, he participated in the different academic competitions such as in Journalism and Paligsahan sa Kasaysayan (HEKASI) where he found himself interested in the same realms until today.

He pushed through Secondary Education at the Honorato C. Perez Sr., Memorial Science High School formerly Cabanatuan City Science High School and graduated with various awards in both academic and leadership realms. Furthermore, Kevin was an active student starting from his junior to the rest of his high school days. He was a member of the Bagong Lapian ng Artista Ngayon (BAGLAN CCP) an organization for the artists of the campus and later became its Guild Director. BAGLAN became the start of his serious leadership passion. He was also part of the Citizenship Advancement Training I Class Malingkas of the campus where he also showed his leadership passion through military typed-approach and the Childrens' Museum and Library, Inc. (CMLI) where he became the first Provincial Executive Board's President (Pioneer Batch) and have conducted various projects including community outreach and school cleanliness and beautification brigade. Later on, he represented the school and the region in the 5th Pambansang Gawad sa Ulirang Kabataan held in June, 2009 at the Marikina City Hotel and annually  conducted by the Department of Education in commemorating the Declaration of the Philippine Independence with the guidance of Mr. Angelo M. Ador Dionisio. Kevin was also part of the innovative instructional material in the region called "Bultong" together with its author Mr. Cesar G. Legaspi.

After high school, He decided to study in Manila to take up AB in Political Science but due to financial reasons, he continued the same course back here in Cabanatuan. He is currently enrolled at the Araullo University PHINMA Education Network and became its one of the active student leaders of the decade. Kevin became part of many leadership activities in the school such as in the school publication, department organization and soon became the President of the Campus Youth Ministry. Continuing his leadership passion and career inside the school, he won the presidency without somebody who took courage to run against him in the Araullo University Supreme Student Govenment (AUSSG), the highest student organization in the campus. He is in his incumbency.

One of the most highlights in Kevin's life was when he was elected Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairman in their barangay embodying all his principles and aspirations of changing the paradigms of the youth in his generation. He continuous  his advocacy through his position in his community. Upon his term, he was also chosen to be part of the 8th National Youth Parliament (8th NYP) a youth program of the National Youth Commission (NYC) held at Butuan City in 2010. Recently, in the second year of his chairmanship, he was awarded in the SK Youth Summit as one of the Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan of the year 2011 (TOSKA 2011) because of his effort in taking part of community building in his barangay and city.

Another highlight was when he was chosen to be part of the prestigious Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC) out of almost a thousand applicants held last February, 2012 at the San Miguel Corp., Alfonso, Cavite together with the 79 student and youth leaders across the Philippines. He is now part of the Ayala Young Leaders Alumni Association (AYLAA) in Central Luzon advocating nation building "para sa Diyos at sa bayan..." and the newly appointed Chapter Head in Nueva Ecija  (AYLAA-Ecija).

Upon engaging to these various organizations, Kevin opened up his world in nation building and met several student and youth leaders in the country. He continue living through his own way of what he thinks are purposeful.

Currently, he took part in Youth Vote Philippines (YVP) and Kaya Natin!(KN) Movement's Voter's Education Campaign for the upcoming 2013 Elections here in the country to prevent electing filthy politicians that ruin this society. Furthermore, he wants to educate the youth  to take part in one of the democratic principles for the betterment and the preservation of "order" for the next generation.

Talking about his personal life, Kevin still enjoys his life by hanging out with his high school friends and cousins. He likes to watch anime and loves doing digital arts.
